Joint Registration
If an application is made by two or more persons to the competent authority pursuant to Section 15 for the joint registration of any motor vehicle, the competent authority shall make necessary inquiry into the matter, register such a motor vehicle jointly in the names of these persons and issue the registration certificate as referred to in Section 16 to them.
